After months of planning, building, testing, refining, and even more late nights than I’d care to admit (I need to buy shares in coffee!), I’m delighted to say that Scryla v1.0 (code named Beckett) is now live.

This is the biggest update Scryla has received since it was first released, and it represents a huge step forward in making novel planning feel more connected, more intuitive, and, most importantly, more enjoyable.

While Scryla has always been about helping authors organize their stories, Beckett expands that vision considerably. Whether you’re planning a standalone novel or managing a long-running series, you’ll find new tools designed to keep every part of your writing life in one place.

Some of the highlights include:

  • An enhanced Series Management workspace for planning multi-book projects.
  • A completely redesigned Story Map with dedicated views for every stage of planning.
  • The new Interactive Outline, making it easier than ever to organize and rearrange your story.
  • A redesigned Notes Inbox, giving every new idea a place to live before it becomes part of a project.
  • Expanded marketing tools, including a guided Press Release Builder.
  • Countless improvements to performance, usability, and the overall writing experience.

Of course, those are just the headline features. Beckett also includes hundreds of smaller refinements throughout the application, many of them inspired directly by feedback from our early users and testers.

New to Scryla?

If you’re discovering Scryla for the first time, there’s never been a better moment to jump in.

The Free plan includes everything you need to start planning your next novel, while Pro unlocks unlimited projects and series, additional storage, import and export tools, and the complete set of advanced planning features.

If you’re considering upgrading, it’s also worth taking a look at our Discounts & Offers page. Whenever we run special promotions or limited-time discounts, that’s where you’ll find them.

Thank you

Finally, I’d like to say thank you to everyone who tested Beckett before release.

Every bug report, suggestion, feature request, and kind word helped shape this update into what it is today. Scryla has always been built with authors, and Beckett is no exception.

I’m incredibly excited to see the stories you’ll create with it.

Welcome to Scryla Beckett.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to lie down. Or drink a gallon of coffee. Or both. Probably both.
